GRAPEVINE: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso

PRODUCTION AREA: D.O.C. Friuli Colli Orientali

FERMENTATION AND VINIFICATION: On-the-skins fermentation; the must stays in contact with the skins for 15 days with frequent pumping over.

COLOR: Garnet red tending towards purple.

SMELL: Perfume of good intensity and character, with fruity notes of cherry and blackberry together with floral hints of violet.

TASTE: Full-bodied, clean mouthfeel with a pleasantly bitterish finish.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18° C

FOOD PAIRINGS: Suitable with rich dishes and legume soups. Excellent with beef, kid, lamb, liver and chicken liver.
